Hornets Touch have committed to raising money for the research and awareness of Testicular Cancer in Australia.
Our most recent fundraising was done for Supporters of Cancer (SOC) (now known as SOC Hunter), where we raised money for Ovarian Cancer.

What is testicular cancer?
Cancer that develops in a testicle is called testicular cancer or cancer of the testis. Usually only one testicle is affected, but in some cases both are affected. About 90–95% of testicular cancers start in the cells that develop into sperm – these are known as germ cells.
Sometimes testicular cancer can spread to lymph nodes in the abdomen, or to other parts of the body.

Why are we raising funds?
A part from ‘it’s a good cause’, we have a devilish reason… to turn one of our Life Members into a Hornets coloured billboard.
Hornets Life Member, Don Green, has agreed that if we reach our goal, we can dye his hair bright purple (Including head, beard and eyebrows).
Whats the goal?
OUR GOAL: $5,000
Plus, Hornets have agreed to match the first $1,000 dollar-for-dollar!
The fundraising campaign will encompass all four Hornets tournaments (Hornets Champs, Don Green Western Jnr Champs, Central Coast Jnr Champs, Peter Wilson Memorial Champs), and will end with the colouring on Don’s hair on the Sunday of the 2020 Peter Wilson Memorial Championships (Sun 2 Feb 2020).
