The Hunter Western Hornets will be just one of six regions to battle it out in Orange at the 2019 NSW Junior Regionals next year. Although this year will see the introduction of something new.

As of 2019 Hornets will also field Under 12’s Boys and Girls divisions, competing against the Sydney Mets, Sydney Rebels, Southern Suns, Northern Eagles and our close rivals – Sydney Scorpions.

“This is an exciting opportunity for young touch footballers in our region”, said Hunter Western Hornets Regional Director, Beau Newell.

“The introduction of the Under 12’s divisions will not only see an increase in teams and players representing our region, but also allow for the expansion of our junior representative pathway allowing younger players to be exposed to the best junior touch football our state has to offer”.

The decision to introduce the new divisions was discussed recently with all six regions agreeing to its concept.

The NSW Junior Regionals will be held on July 13-14, 2019 at the home of the Orange Thunder Touch Association, the Waratah Sports Club and at a similar time in 2021.

Hornets Touch will be calling for Coaching Staff Applications for all divisions (12, 14, 16 and 18 Boys and Girls sides) soon, and encourage interested Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Managers to take up this opportunity to expand their coaching portfolio.

Full details about the event will be advised by NSW Touch Football on their dedicatedJunior Regionals website.
